Thank you for downloading this scenario! This scenario is rated TEEN for fantasy violence. This scenario is intended for parties of levels 15-20, although feel free to play with whatever type of party you please.

INSTALLATION:

Installation is simple. Drag the folder called Emerald Mountain into your Blades of Avernum Scenarios folder, and presto! Open up Blades of Avernum, and the scenario will be ready to play.

----

HINTS:

The opening act is very simple. It is straightforward, and you are told at all points what you must do.

The hill goblin fights are difficult. A few strategies will help you:
* Bless and haste your warriors, and maybe your archers too.
* Use Enduring Barrier before combat.
* Use Control Foes on strong bruisers to distract enemy fire. (Note: Control Foes does not work on the Goblin Assassin or Hill Goblin Chief.)
* Keep your vulnerable characters at least three spaces away from your warriors, so that the goblins will not attack them.
* Kill the Goblin Assassin LAST in any fight, since they are incredibly durable.
* Kill shamans FIRST in any fight, since they can deal heavy damage with Lightning Spray or cast Mass Healing.
* Slow the enemy!
* Use terrain to your advantage- lure your enemies to you, don't rush them.

WARNING! Do NOT try to visit the western half of ? ? ?, you will be annihilated by Lyfan. Lyfan cannot be beaten by anybody, including god parties.

The fight against the Corrosives is potentially deadly. Take extra caution! Here are some decent tips:
* Do NOT use Cloud of Blades.
* Do NOT use damaging spells on Hissing or Sentient Corrosives unless you are absolutely sure that they will kill their targets.
* If you get covered in acid, cure it.
* Do NOT leave a Sentient Corrosive at close to 0 HP, kill it if at all possible before the end of the round.

The golems are fairly easy. A few tips:
* Keep your vulnerable characters out of range, or risk having them shot down by the golems' beams.
* Kill a golem by the end of the turn, or else it will heal the vast majority of its damage.
* Step on the rune in combat mode. Stepping on the rune in town mode risks getting your weaker characters killed!

-- There is are two potential endings to Emerald Mountain, but I will leave that for you to figure out. The final boss of the "winning" ending is very difficult, but if you have learned from the battles above, the fight shouldn't pose too much of a threat.
